Safety Mapping: two weeks, one camera, one report

What you get

One camera, on your terms. It is our camera, on 4G, so it needs mains power and nothing else: no access to your network, no IT ticket, no change to your existing CCTV. It can connect to your own cameras later if you want it to; that is a conversation for the review call, not a condition of starting.

One area, chosen with you. A yard, a loading bay, a pedestrian crossing, a racking aisle: the place where vehicles and people share space and where you would most like a second pair of eyes.

Two weeks of every shift. The camera watches the area continuously, day and night, and the system picks out the moments that matter: pedestrians in vehicle routes, near misses, exclusion-zone entries, vehicles where they should not be. You are not asked to watch anything.

A written report. What was seen, by type and by time of day. The five to ten clips worth your attention. The one or two changes we would make first, and why.

A review call. Thirty minutes with us to go through the report, ask what the camera could not see, and decide whether to continue.

What happens after two weeks

This is the part most offers leave vague, so here it is plainly.

If the report shows something worth acting on, Safety Mapping continues as a standard annual subscription on the same camera position. The camera stays, you keep seeing what it sees, and it can be moved to widen coverage over time. That is how sites usually go on to add cameras: one position proven first.

If it does not, you keep the report and we collect the camera. There is nothing to pay either way.

Who it is for

Sites in the UK where people and vehicles move among each other: ports and terminals, distribution centres and warehouses, manufacturing plants, construction and highways yards. The people who get the most from it are the safety or operations lead who already suspects where the risk is and wants evidence rather than opinion.

It is not for sites outside the UK, domestic or public-space use, or organisations without a physical site of their own. If that is you, book a demo instead and we will show you how it works on a live site.

Why one camera

Because the question in the first two weeks is not "how much can we cover?" but "is this real?". One camera on the right spot answers that. A site that has reported two or three near misses a year at a gate will find out within a fortnight whether that number is the whole picture. Whatever the answer, it is a better basis for the decision than anything we could say on this page.

What customers say

"The biggest advantage for us has been the H&S conversations started by some of the clips."

Safety Manager, UK port

"I'm not talking about ifs, buts and maybes. I can actually show what's happened in our factory and show some real data out of it."

Group H&S lead, food manufacturer

The detail is what makes the conversation; the conversation is what changes the shift.

Common questions

Is it really free? The first two weeks are. We supply the camera, the 4G connection, the monitoring and the report at no charge. The only thing we ask of you is a mains socket, a conversation about where to put the camera, and thirty minutes for the review call.

Do I need to involve IT? Not to start. The camera runs on its own 4G connection and does not touch your network. If you later want to connect the cameras you already have, that is a separate conversation and we provide an IT overview for it.

Who sees the footage? You and the RoboK team working on your report. Footage is processed and stored in the UK, kept only as long as your policies require, and faces can be blurred where you need them to be. We are happy to share our data-handling documents before the camera goes up.

What if the camera is in the wrong place? We choose the position with you, and we check in during the first week. If it is not seeing what you expected, we move it.

What does it cost after the two weeks? If you continue, it becomes a standard annual subscription on the same camera position. We go through the figure on the review call, with the report in front of you, so you can judge it against what the camera found.

Can we start with more than one camera? Safety Mapping is one camera by design, so the first decision is made on evidence from the spot you care about most. Sites that continue usually add cameras from there, and the camera can be moved to map other areas over time.
